Heh. This question is fun. I’m in the process of helping my musician bf decorate his apartment in a similar way…except he only wants grey >.< Another color you should consider adding to your palette would be a darker grey-blue (more grey than blue). It’ll work well with the black and red, and it’ll tie the silver in with the other colors a little more. I’d keep the walls in grey or grey-blue, black walls will be a little much, and you’ll most likely want to change then pretty quick (trust me, I’ve had to help change it before…). Also, I’d restrict the red to maybe one piece of furniture, and then accents, like pillows or a lamp or something. If any of your instruments are red, that’s awesome and would work great. A good website is pbteen.com . Two of their collections ("musically inspired" and "locker") would be right up your ally. Plain old pottery barn has some great lamps: http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p8276/index.cfm?pkey=call%2Dtable%2Dfloor%2Dlamps
The brushed nickel is a good finish, but if you can make it to one of their stores, they might have the discontinued red version, which would look sick.

They can be a little expensive, though, so Ikea has some similar types of furniture. Going back to the bit about the red furniture: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80100190
It could work as a media/tv stand, and the interior is perfect for storing DVDs. Target also has some pretty cool accessories, but i wouldn’t put much trust in their furniture.
For any seating, I’d go with black leather. Always cool. If leather’s out of the budget, no worries, fabric upholstry is still good.

If you want more help/ideas, send me an email or something ^^ I’m a design student/intern, so you’d be getting help from a professional :D Hope this was helpful and informative.
