This is a piece by Paul Vallinski – and I’d like to have something like it on my bedroom wall that won’t cost me an arm and a leg. Even a similar decal would be interesting. if anybody knows where I can find similar wall art, or a metal wall piece…please answer!

My Fiance and I recently purchased our first home together, but I’m having serious trouble when it comes to decorating it. I have the kitchen, dinning room, and guest bedrooms taken care of, but I am completely stumped when it comes to decorating my living room and master bedroom. Both the living and the master are neutral colored, earth tones, with a beige/off-white carpet, so I was hoping to stay in the more neutral color pallet with accent pillows for color? I don’t like the really plushy look, and my Fiance and I both want a more modern/contemporary look/feel, but neither of us want the metal frames. I guess a sleek look? Young maybe? We don’t want our friends coming over feeling like they’ve walked into Grandma’s house. For our bedroom we really wanted a ‘zen’ theme. Simplistic, Asian-style, blacks with red accent maybe? We’ve an opening above the door leading from the master bedroom to the master bath that we’d like to play off of. (It looks like those arches at Japanese temples).

Any suggestions on how I can decorate these two rooms? Wall art, furniture, bedspreads, etc.

Im 13 years old (female) and my mom is letting me redo my bedroom.

I already decided that I want red and black to be the main colors of the room design. For the walls, i’m gonna do the black wall that cool chalkboard paint and for the red walls I’ll just do a solid bright red with random metallic patterns.

But I’m stumped on the rest. I have a small-ish bedroom… not the much space. Something like a 13′ by 10′ and the ceilings are only 8′ tall. I have a queen sized bed and a 52" round beanbag so that takes up a decent amount of space. (though I’m looking to replace the beanbag)

What I’m looking for: Any other colors that would look good with red and black, and really make the room sorta pop. Please, no pink. Im not the girly girl type… Any ideas on wall art; seating options to replace my beanbag; leather and studs are cool; anything with music! (I’m sort of obsessed with music and am really into rock or punk/metal)

The walls in my dining room are a bright maroon. I am looking for affordable wall art large enough to look good on one wall. It could a framed art or the abstract metal art but I can’t figure out what color schemes will look good on a red wall? Any ideas??

I don’t know what theme to choose! I want it to be relaxing and somewhere I can sleep well. I’m a teenager btw. Here is what is in there right now

That’s all I have in there. The bedding is just a plain white blanket for now, with some pink throw pillows. I don’t know if I should keep these or start from scratch… I was thinking of doing the walls a tan color with some gold in it, something like this:

I want some new wall art, I need to get it cheap. I was thinking of maybe putting some of me or my dad’s photography up. If I went with the gold, I would definitely put in some cool steampunk stuff, I also love books so maybe a bookshelf or a chair and coffee table… Any ideas??

The ceiling is high and also angles down and the ledge is on the higher end. It is above the door and wide closet which are off-white, and there is 3 inch plain molding(also off-white) on the edge of the ledge. The room is painted in a warm taupe and the style is Old Worldish with dark woods including an old French style ceiling fan with carved dark wood and antique amber glass. The room doesn’t get a lot of light which is why I’ve kept the door, closet and trim off-white to balance the dark woods. I don’t really want a vignette type arrangement or silk/real plants, but something more architectural to add to the Old World feel without looking ’staged’ or ‘crafty’. I’ve considered large metal scroll wall art but wonder how that would look against all the white trim, etc…Any suggestions pics or links would be appreciated. Thanks.
